Buttermilks. Eastern Sierra

The boulder fields of the Buttermilks near Bishop, California are a haven for rock-climbers. I spent many hours walking and climbing among the granite boulders and envisioned this image while wandering around at sunset one night. I returned to the area one evening when the light appeared to be right and captured this image. It turned out exactly as I saw it in my minds eye and is among my favorite images.
