Sunrise on Mt Williamson
Eastern Sierra

The Eastern Sierra lights up beautifully on clear morning and as. I was driving along 395 one morning, passing by the Manzanar Internment Camp Historical Site, I decided to pull off and try to capture some images of the Eastern Sierra from the view of those who were imprisoned here during WWII, although I'm certain they did not enjoy this view as much as I did. The site stands without most of the original structures and as you drive through, your mind really begins to wonder what those times were like. Unfortunately, I had to return home prior to the annual pilgrimage of the surviving internees that occurs every spring. I'm sure they would have had some interesting stories to tell.
