Grand Canyon, Below the Rim

I have visited Grand Canyon many times over the years, but my last trip was the first time I ventured more than a few hundred yards down from the rim. I was on a rafting trip with my father and brother, one we had been talking about taking for most of our adult lives. we hiked down to the river from South Rim and picked up our raft at Phantom Ranch.

During camp one evening along the river, I decided to get out my camera and explore the area. Looking across the river from camp at the red wall limestone (at least, I think that's the layer pictured here), I noticed some really cool patterns of light falling across the wall, lighting up different areas. It wasn't until later after I downloaded the images at home, that I noticed the image of a face appear in the image.
