Delicate Arch from Far Viewpoint

Delicate Arch is probably the most recognized formation in the entire state of Utah. Most images of this beautiful arch are taken at sunset, from the west, with the La Sal Mountains in the background. I wanted to do something a little different... so, I set out one morning (behind schedule, none-the-less... forgot to turn on the alarm clock) and made the short hike up to the far viewpoint of the arch and shot it at sunrise. I arrived just in time to catch the arch in this beautiful orange glow with most of the rocks in the background still in shadow. I opened up my composition to include the rocks in the foreground. these slickrock boulders were glowing yellow in the early morning light and really caught my eye.
