Mesa Arch Sunrise
Near Moab, UT

One of the classic icons of the American West, Mesa Arch beckons people from all walks of life. If you ever find yourself in this area of Utah, you MUST visit this formation... at sunrise, it's quite a show, at any time of year. Visible in this image, in the distance towards the upper middle, is Washerwoman Arch, as well. This is pretty much the classic view of the formation, but I tried to wait a little after sunrise to give that nice glow of the sun coming under the arch. You can see in the valley below, how the Colorado and Green Rivers have carved out the land over the years.
